Thoughts for Today - September 2, 2009

Outside my window ... Another beautiful day, just like yesterday. Sunshine, breezes, cooler than normal temperatures.

I am thinking ... that I should be doing something more productive than watching online episodes of "Hoarders" on A&E, but it's drawn me in like a train wreck.

I am thankful that ... I got up early this morning and made it to the grocery store before it got busy.

From the kitchen ... I'll be making a fresh salsa later today that I'll be sharing with friends when we meet up for dinner tomorrow. I didn't get to the peaches (or any of yesterday's other kitchen-y items), so I'll be trying to tackle those as well.

I am wearing ... jeans and a ratty t-shirt. Pretty much same as yesterday.

I am reading ... I started reading the text for one of my classes yesterday. So far, it's not too bad, but then again, I'm not yet at the point where the math is hard or I feel like I'm in over my head.

I am hoping ... to be able to check lots of things off my to-do list today.

I am creating ... see yesterday. My creativity will be in the kitchen today.

I am praying ... that we have nice weather for our plans Saturday night. I heard the weatherman mention something about showers, and I hope that doesn't come true.

Around the house ... the second load of laundry is entering the rinse cycle. I still have some groceries to put away, and I need to tidy up some things in the kitchen before I can get in there to make up my salsa.

A few plans for the rest of the day ... Well, I think it's pretty obvious that I'll be spending time in the kitchen! Also need to watch some lectures for my classes.
