Thoughts for Today - 9/9/09

Outside my window ... cloudy, dreary, gray. Or is it grey? I can never remember. All I know is that the weather is not suitable for hanging out my laundry, so I'm going to be pacing myself over the course of the week since the racks take up so much space in my house.

I am thinking ... that I have much to do and probably shouldn't be taking the time to right this post. Also, I'm thinking that I don't like the fact that I can't find (or they did away with) the spell checker in this newest Blogger update.

I am thankful that ... Facebook has reconnected me with another dear friend. We lost touch 11 years ago (ELEVEN!! Wow - we're old!) when we graduated from high school, but we're planning on meeting up later today for lunch and scrapbooking.

From the kitchen ... I have a blueberry pie in the oven as I type this. It's part of my contribution for my little get-together today.

I am wearing ... dark jeans and a burgundy t-shirt. Also, my apron.

I am hoping ... that the laundry dries well enough inside today, so that I can do more tonight or tomorrow.

I am creating ... Well, more like creatED, as in, I created that blueberry pie that is getting all warm and bubbly in my oven.

I am praying ... for a friend and his family, because his grandma is sick and in the hospital. Also continuing with my prayers from yesterday.

Around the house ... laundry. One load is done, with part of it in the dryer and part of it hanging up. A second load is in the washer right now, and I think that will be it for now.

A few plans for the rest of the day ... gather up my scrapbooking materials and whatever else I may need for this afternoon, and then it's either classwork or working on some job leads until it's time to leave for my get-together.

A few plans for the rest of the week ... stay tuned to my blog on Friday for a series of posts that I'm preparing in remembrance of September 11, 2001 - Lest We Never Forget.
